Welcome to the Geographic Information Community Network - Prescott-Russell à la carte

    Since 1995 the United Counties of Prescott and Russell has been developing a Geographic Information System (GIS) which is at the forefront of technology. Today this GIS consists of over 5 gigabytes of electronic maps and databases of all sorts which offer a unique glimpse of the natural and human environnments of the region of Prescott and Russell.



    Prescott-Russell à la carte - the Geographic Information Community Network is the most recent addition to our GIS. This virtual network strives to improve access to our GIS to allow the community, as well as anyone with an interest for GIS, to visually discover our region. The network comprises several tools that will permit users to visualize, manipulate and analyze interactive maps and database. The project section of this web site will provide a broad description of Prescott-Russell à la carte.

    Are you looking for the library closest to your home or maybe you need a soils classification map? Then go to the Public Portal section of the community network and explore Prescott and Russell with the help of interactive maps. For municipal employees, the Municipal Portal offers tools for planning and development purposes. Our GIS network is in constant evolution so come and explore often and send us your comments and requests for new data and new functions that you would like to find on the network.

Before you start...

    To begin using the geographic information, you need to download the Autodesk MapGuide Viewer to see and manipulate the maps and databases. It is absolutely needed, but it is easy and free, simply click here to start the download process. In the MapGuide section you will find a comprehensive users guide of the menus and functions of the Viewer.
